This tool is designed to reach down through the engine compartment in areas that are not easily accessible with standard tools or "universal" belt tensioner tools.
Many times engine area accessories and frame components (alternators, drive belts, fluid containers, shock towers and fender wells) inhibit the direct access without removing components or needing two technicians to release the belt tensioner.
1/2" square style for all vehicles using 1/2" square style tensioners.
For use on 1987 and later mini vans with the Mitsubishi 3.0 liter V6 engine as well as 1984 and later Corvettes (not ZR1).
For use on Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car all with 4.6L, also Cougar & Thunderbird with 3.8L & 4.6L, Expedition, Navigator, pickups and vans with 4.2L V6, 4.6L V8, 5.4L V8 & 6.8L V10.
